As a practicing therapist for the past 39 years, I have had the honor of witnessing the truly profound capacity of the human spirit for growth, healing and transformation. It has been my privilege to participate in that process with thousands of women and men, adolescents and couples, as a guide, advocate and facilitator of their therapeutic process. My work draws on years of professional and personal life experience and incorporates a range of skills, expertise and methodologies.
My areas of expertise include trauma recovery, sexual abuse healing, anxiety and depression, stress and anger management, self-esteem and personal growth, relationship and communication issues, mind/body/spirit connections, major life transitions, and women healing cancer.
My office is a warm, private and welcoming space on the third floor of my home on a quiet cul-de-sac in Evanston. I believe that it is important for people who are seeking therapy to feel comfortable in the physical environment of the office as well as with the therapist with whom they choose to work. I also believe that the therapist-client relationship is a key factor in ensuring a positive therapeutic experience and outcome.
